Hello friends,

Time is something fascinating. Sometimes we feel like time flies by way too quickly, and sometimes every second feels like an eternity. This strongly depends on many factors like what we are doing or how we are feeling at the moment, but the most fascinating thing about time is that it will continue forever. With or without us.

We are alive during a specific time and can do with our lives theoretically whatever we want. Yes, we are bound to some restrictions because we need food and somewhere to sleep, but at the end of the day, we are free to do whatever we want. And even tho we can literally become whoever we aspire to be, most people absolutely waste their time. They just chill another two hours on Instagram. They just watch another Netflix show. They just waste another day. Time that they could have invested in working on their goals. Their dreams. Or figuring out what those are, because most people don't even know what to do with their lives (and btw, today's challenge will help you with figuring that out. It's a game changer!)

This blog post is a wake-up call for everyone who needs to hear this. Your time is valuable.

This is the message I would write to my past self, who spent most of his time playing video games and doing absolutely nothing.

The Present moment

The present is a gift (no pun intended).

The present is the only moment we are experiencing right now. And the second you think about the present, it's already gone. The fact that you opened this blog post and are reading this is already in the past. It's already over and an unchangeable fact.

Time is the most valuable resource we can use as a human. And we can only use it in the present. We can never change the past. Mistakes that happened, happened. Things you did or didn't do in the past affect your present situation. And your action in the right here affect your future. And the future will one day become your present moment, and your present moment will then become your past again.

“There is only one time that is important – NOW! It is the most important time because it is the only time that we have any power.” - Leo Tolstoy

This cycle will repeat itself until one day you lie on your deathbed.

Imagine you spend your time in the present by doing no sports, no work on projects, no learning, no socializing and not evolving as a person. Your life will suck and suck forever if you don't change your actions. And by running away to social media and video games, you will never get to the cause. You keep on running away.

Everybody should aspire to live an amazing life, and you do that by putting in the necessary steps in the present moment. The Present is the most important time there is, because whatever you choose to do now will affect your future. The workout you do will pay off in the future. The consistent effort you put into your studies, your projects or your hobbies will pay off. You will learn. You will get experience. And obviously you will improve. It doesn't matter which area we are talking about. Health, Wealth, Relationships, Happiness, everything. Your future can be changed. No matter how good or bad your situation is right now, no matter how old you are, no matter your upbringing.

My challenge for you

Don't underestimate this challenge. This will have a huge value in figuring out what you want to do in life.

Before you start this challenge, I want you to take three deep breaths, just to get you a little relaxed.

I want you to take out a journal or a piece of paper. Take it out and write the title "My ideal life". I want you to write about the four topics "Health, Wealth, Relationships and happiness" in present tense, as if you would be living your ideal life, your dream life, RIGHT NOW. You can choose between 5, 10 or 20 years from now. Just write however it feels right to you and try to answer the following questions:

Health

  • How do I look like?
  • How often do I exercise, and what type of exercise am I doing?
  • How important is eating healthy to me?
  • How long do I sleep?

Wealth

  • How important is money to me?
  • How much money do I have?
  • What significant things did I buy with my money?
  • How do I make money?
  • Do I feel financially free?

Relationships

  • How is my relationship to my family/parents?
  • How is my relationship to my friends?
  • Am I currently in a romantic relationship and if yes, how is it?
  • Am I attending many social events or spending more time alone?
  • What do I love about my relationships?

Happiness

  • Do I reflect on my life from time to time and/or meditate?
  • What habits do I have that make sure that I'm on the right path?
  • Have I worked on my past traumas/experiences?
  • What is my definition of happiness?
  • How do I feel about myself?

This is the greatest exercise you can do for your future. Many people don't take the time to seriously do this. But I want you to schedulde an hour or two to think and write about those points. You will be amazed what things come up.

A very important note on this challenge: Many people feel resistance to a few questions and think stuff like "I will never get there anyway", "I would love to, but...". Those are the most important points. Write them down. Remember, it's your dream life where everything is perfect.

Don't worry about writing every detail perfectly. Your dream life will change over times anyway. This is about giving you a first direction in life on what you need to focus on.

And last but not least: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE ON THIS CHALLENGE. Most people do because they feel overwhelmed or are scared to do it. It's a form of avoidance. Do it and hold yourself accountable.

Now take your calendar and put in a fat mark, at least one hour, where you will be writing about this. Don't skip this exercise.

My Song of the week

I love Eminem. And sometimes when you listen to the lyrics of a song, you just realize how deep the message is. You should all know this song. Enjoy!

Genre: Rap

Thank you so much for reading today's blog post. I wish you an amazing week!

Much Love,

Kim
